Hegemon

Sometimes it’s difficult to see things plainly. As a society, we shelter ourselves from certain realities, not wanting to confront and examine them-to do so would evoke too many mixed emotions. That is what a zine like Hegemon does: it mixes emotions and challenges the ideas that are most often shuffled paStreet With a working definition of Hegemon as “one that has a dominating influence over others”, ideas and concepts such as the history of the swastika and the human consumption of meat are explored and simplified. The language is plain and without emotion, but that is not to say that it isn’t provocative. These are just realities that we most often ignore. (Jon Pressick)
