Happy Nightmare Baby’s Greatest Hits

Happy Nightmare Baby’s Greatest Hits

This zine is a very dark one in terms of the look. In terms of the words written, I’d say it’s teetering on dark. It’s right at the edge of dark. It’s standing on the rim of the circle of dark, and it’s waiting to fall or dive into said circle of dark. There are a lot of Jesus and Mary Chain references, some Robert Smith oogling… Yer basic depressed n’ pasty sorrow-drowning. The zine’s pretty darn fat, filled with tiny stories that have either happened to Angela, happened to her friends, not have happened, or may have happened – she’s not sure or she’s not telling. The premise of the thing is the dreams she’s had, all written down for our prying eyes to see. If you’re looking for some night-light dark and quirky stories – with just the right amount of sexual references, you might want to pick this one up. (ME)
