Gut pile

A collection of very zine-ly comics, beginning with a hard-to-stomach 3-page ode to cat turd by the publisher, then an amusing fantasy about Craig Moser making robots to do his creative work so he can watch tv (surprise — it backfires), then a punk-paranoia piece called “Hockey-Haired Ogres Go Shopping” (the title’s the best part), uh, then “Pogo, my turtle, by Chris C”, and then, and then… However, the threatening tedium is relieved by a series of dramatic portraits by Phil Dion sketched on top of what seem to be German personals ads, framed with diagrams of cocktail glasses and dentist tools. The accompanying story is a little static, but I’m a sucker for this kind of illustration. Can’t explain why.
