Grey Borders: Monstrosity

Maybe it’s because I know too many graphic designer types, but font selection seems to be an important part of creating a zine. So, when I’m handed a zine that uses something that is, or looks like, Comic Sans, I get a bit wary. I suspect I’m not the only one who feels this way. However, content always trumps, and the poetry and prose inside is more aesthetically pleasing than the design. There is fiction by Michelle Butler Hallett and a fistful of poems by a few others, the ones by Michael Internicola being the most enjoyable in a sexy, rambling-man-in-a-bar kind of way (before the man descends into drunken stupidity.)
