Guest starring both God and Satan, and created by “the artist presently known as Happy”, Fred the Possessed Flower is an example of the truly bizarre. Fred talks. Fred has adventures. Fred fights the boogie man. Fred calls Satan on his cell phone. Happy has talent–his illos are good. The text is not the selling point of the stories, but then again, who needs words when you’re looking at a possessed flower? The second story featuring Fred and Monica Lewinsky, called “How to Almost Bring Down the U.S. Government” was actually quite entertaining, despite the fact that I’m sick and tired of hearing about who Bill got it on with.
