Exterminating Angel

Despite all advances in modern technology, no one has ever quite managed to simulate the perfect typewriter font. It’s impossible; you can’t fake those errant splotches of ink. I sighed blissfully when I saw that all text in this full-sized tome was from an honest-to-goodness typewriter, and it was also blown up on the copy machine so that each letter is half an inch tall. In fact, everything in this zine is magnified: the illustrations (beautiful hand drawn sketches, high contrast photographs) as well as the emotions. The accompanying story is romantic in that apocalyptic way, and reads vaguely like the lyrics to a heart wrenching song. I sigh again. (Teri Vlassopoulos)
