Put out by the Student Radio Society of UBC, Elements is an up-to-the-minute hip hop mag. Jammed with reviews and interviews, these folks cover the scene where ever it’s happening, across Canada and beyond. In “Vinyl Konflict” they interview J Swing about DJ-ing, learning the ropes and competing in battles and go on to further cover the 1996 D.M.C. Canada Finals. Another article follows Sadat X from his roots to his most current release, Wild Cowboys. Other interviews talk with De La Soul and Dark Sun Riders. Surely this boisterous, fat mag covers it better than anyone else here north of the 48th parallell.
