Dorkboy

And welcome to another thrilling episode of the self-produced “Dorkboy,” Damian Willcox’s ongoing adventure into self-published comics. Dorkboy is…well, it’s stupid, that’s what it is, but I’m pretty sure that the author would consider that a compliment. Encompassing the look and feel of a graphic-design undergraduate with something to say, damnit, Dorkboy takes its cues from “The Tick” and other self-sentient superhero parodies in its low-brow humor. This is definitely not going to blow anyone’s socks off, but is a fine middle-of-the-road publication for those who are fans of self-published comics. Favorite line? “Ha ha! I’m not the one that’s glued to a wall with aged meat byproduct gelatin!” Go, Dorkboy! (JP)
