Deviant Recipes

I was confused by the cover and editorial that started this little zine out. Neither of them gave me much idea of what to expect from this zine. There were a few key words/phrases that perked my interest however: “butt love,” “beating off,” “spanking liaisons,” “trash film orgy.” But to my disappointment there was no further elaboration on these topics. On page four I was captivated by what I’m guessing is a lino-cut print, but I can’t credit the artist, because this piece, like all others in Deviant Recipes, does not list the artist’s name. So there are a few areas that could use some work for Issue #4, in my humble opinion. Now on to more positive feedback: there’s some good stuff on being genderqueer, and both the exterior and interior struggles that this may bring. A mind-bending piece on what to do if that lesbian pussy of yours throws a curve ball at you in the form of a guy (that you’re attracted to!), and, finally, a short and sweet interview with Wendy-O-Matic, author of Redefining Polyamory: Redefining Relationships. I was just really getting into this read when it came to an end and I was left thinking “Mistress Althea, I want more.” (heze douglas)
