Cute Stuff

Cute Stuff is a do-it-yourself guide with instructions on how to make really random unnecessary cute things. This stuff is actually really adorable in a featureless, I have dots as eyes, Hello Kitty sort of way. What you’ll find here is easy-to-follow instructions on how to make key rings, coin purses, hair bands, fuzzy animal appliqués, business card holders — wait, business card holders? I thought these crafts were aimed at people 16 and under.

Okay, I just want you to know that it looks totally bizarre, inappropriate and slightly creepy when grown women in North America walk around accessorizing themselves like prepubescent Japanese girls. For those who dress this way, here are my instructions: please stop doing this to yourself and don’t buy this book. I really don’t care if I sound ageist. You look like a loser.

For crafty kids in high school, this book is for you! (Erin Kobayashi)
