Coffee, Smokes and Radiation

We’ve reviewed CS&R in nearly every issue, and last issue, just as we were telling you that the Geez had signed off, never to publish again, this issue arrived. He’s back. And as much as I’d like to boil down for you here just what it is that makes us cheer every issue as we do, it’s just not possible without a pair of scissor, a photocopier and a sharp sense of what it really means to work at a mindless job in a factory and live in suburbia. Don’t stop and think about any of this until you’ve got your copy, and by then you won’t care what we say because as the Geez points out: “Your lifetime odds of dying from pesticide poisoning are 1 in 200,000, but you have a 1 in 60,000 risk of dying from water that’s been judged safe by the EPA.”
