Change Purse Books

These babies are for when you’re forced to attend some horrid occasion, your cousin’s Bar Mitzvah or something. You can slip one of these in your suit pocket and take it out just when it seems like the boring liturgy will never end. While everyone else is stuck in their own slumped minds, you can take a journey through the strange whimsical but never inconsequential world of James Spyker. The only down-side to reading the Spyke’s mini-books in public is the danger that you might laugh out loud. His alter-ego Johnny keeps the gags going with non-stop hallucinations and sudden narrative interventions like: “Which brings me to the Spice Girls. Because, well, there is nothing cooler than pop culture references. And I do want to be cool.” Do you want to be cool? Then get a few of these beautifully-crafted, hilariously readable books for the miniature hipster in all of us. (HN)
