Chances Are Zero or 100%

David Reeve badly needs someone to talk to. Are you willing to lend him your ears? In this volume, Reeve philosophizes on everything from Paradise to 9:11, from Chaos Theory to the Devil in all of us. He questions the beginning of the human race and the future of the cosmos, ponders the nature of evil and the existence of free will. He really talks your ear off. It is in his tales of travel, however, that he really shines. I’m a sucker for road-trip stories. At the end of this issue, Reeve declares that he thinks too much. Perhaps, but I am nonetheless looking forward to his next booklet. His ramblings grew on me, and although I do not believe that David Reeve holds the key to how the Universe will end – Big Crunch vs Big Fizzle – he did make me think about it. Maybe a little bit too much. (AL)
