CCL (Canadian Children’s Literature)

CCL (Canadian Children’s Literature)

Bottom Line: you have to have some kind of interest in children’s literature to get into CCL. You don’t have to be a theorist, although CCL does deal in theory. It’s friendly theory, not too technical, not loaded with theoretical jargon that only a rocket scientist or an asshole could understand. It’s enough to have kids of your own to enjoy CCL. There’s an essay on Franklin the turtle; an article about the Calgary International Children’s Festival; an analysis of the Power Rangers debate. There are reviews of books by Brian Doyle, Sandra Birdsell, Raffi and others. There’s an interview with someone. If you’re into kids, or kids’ literature, check it out. (KS)
