Choose your own adventure! Remember those books? Where it was like reading a newspaper but instead of following it to A12 so you can finish reading the rest of the quote by the Canadian Wheat Board Minister (Reg Alcock), you get transferred into a portal through the garbage chute to green skied Jupiter. Choose your own adventure! The books that taught you how to think out of order. And yes, choose your own adventure, the books that would test the intelligence of your decision making, to see if you could make it right through to the end. We have no problems of that sort here, as Tomas (the writer, a first-name-only mystery) sees no end to his adventures, documenting his travels in philosophical details. I must say: this is a real zine. This is authentic, genuine and honest writing that is packed with information that makes you want to get the hell out of here. With authenticity comes honesty and honesty shows us our own ignorance sometimes. “Travel for all its powerful and meaningful motives is by definition unreal, fantasy, exploitive,” says Tomas. “We are not really a part of what is going on and to pretend that we are, is preposterous, is typical western arrogance.” Seems like no matter how far you travel, you can never get away from yourself.
