The subtitle of this zine “asian pop culture thru the eyes of a roundeye” doesn’t begin to express the serious commitment to Pacific pop demonstrated here. Complete with all the animation heart throbs, plot updates and reviews to your heart’s content — including asian candy reviews, yes actual candy — you couldn’t possibly ask for more than Jason provides in this consistent, well produced zine. Issue three comes in a snazzy hand painted, hand-made sleeve and features an interview with Momoko from Sunnychar, a band that might just be the next Shonen Knife, as well as all the regular stuff.
