Benzine

Benzine

Montreal’s Benzine costs only two bucks but it features quasi historical collages (Trudeau), pithy reflections on the nature of art (“Margaret Atwood meets Mothra”) plus silly lists (of posted suggestions found on a bulletin board in the “bowels of McGill’s Redpath Library”). There’s also a fine feature on that most delicious of all the spreadable sandwich substances, Fluff! America and the world’s number one marshmallow cream gets a well deserved homage from Benzine, purveyor of fluffy humour with a bitter aftertaste. (HN)
