Autokeny is a huge zine with lengthy interviews with eight women-fronted bands: Patty Schemel, Sleater-Kinney, The Gits, Bangs, The Gossip, St. Etienne, Lois & Bratmobile. While the interviews are actually quite good and in depth, there is no context or historical overview about any of these people, so unless you know these artists, you’re left in the dark.
