Ataraxia Theatre

The gentle, out-of-body quality of this comic makes it enticing. Not one gouging, not one pool of vomit, no aliens. In fact, none of the plots (and I use the term loosely) follow traditional story patterns or even resolve neatly. So what? Some of these strips are more texts with illustration, and one is actually a picture story, thus having no text all. The subject matter is personal and reflective. So while this first effort gives the impression of someone getting their feet wet and then warming up the water rather than diving right in, there’s plenty of evidence that this guy will swim like hell with future issues.
