Anon Y Minty

Anon Y Minty is a lovely little book – its old-looking text and illustrations printed on pale yellow, rough-edged paper. The introduction explains the book’s anti-self-censorship and pro-anonymity stance, calling for submissions of your “seemed-like-a-good-idea-at-the-time story, poetic narrative, or philosophical text” on the grounds that “you’re looking to disembrace fame and fortune” by having your work printed anonymously. Okay, so the content of this particular issue isn’t quite as controversial or mind-expanding as the introduction suggests it could be, but there’s a lot of stuff in these 36 pages, and some of it’s great. And the idea behind this book, and the simple design that holds it together, are so delicious that I hope it continues and grows. (Gabe Kastner)
