Alias

Alias

Too often, the problem of homelessness, hunger and the accompanying feelings of desperation and low self_esteem are considered to be the burden of those who are lazy or mentally ill. One never considers the fact that it is real people out there, who are unemployed, hungry and need a roof over their heads. Or sometimes you do have a roof over your head but you are wondering where the money for next week’s grocery bill is going to come from. Within the pages of Alias are a collection of real life stories and poetry by people under hard times. And while the fiction isn’t exactly Dickens or the poetry Shakespeare, it is sincere and brutally honest. If you can relate to the hardships the contributors have written about, you can find solace and hope here. (KJ)
