Somehow I ended up with the entire Isensee ouvre. Mind you, I’m not complaining or anything. This is funny stuff, in the way that closing the car door on your little brother’s hand is funny stuff. In addition to the Alanis book (which includes poems dedicated to Platinum Blonde and Wall of Voodoo) there are the following offerings: 1. A Week’s Thoughts (“It burns me how underrated Gabe Kaplan is”) 2. Stupid Poems (“For a moment/we were young and savage/not yet castrated”) 3. Band Names for the Disaffected (“British Orgasm Champions”) 4. TV Show Ideas (“Real bars. Real drinkers. Viewers will be surprised by the truisms babbling forth from the mouths of inebriated, salt of the earth folk”) 5. Short Sighted Visions (too stupid to even quote from). So there you have it. I don’t know what this guy is on, but I sure hope he doesn’t slip it into the water supply.
