Agent

Forget your local university paper. There’s a great student-run publication coming atcha from the head office of CUP, and it’s definitely worth reading. The people who put out Agent are serious about reporting on relevant news and culture issues. This issue has in-depth features on gender-bending rock star Kinnie Starr and novelist Jim Munroe, among several other informative pieces. The article on the debate over freedom of expression in Canadian universities by Ed Janzen is comprehensive and well-researched. This pub even looks delightful – it’s full colour – and the design is innovative without detracting from the reading experience. Anyhow, enough said, pick this baby up if you see it lying around on your campus – the price is right! (Emily Pohl-Weary)
