A.D.I.D.A.S.
Funny that Fate’s picked me out to review this particular zine. I did some work for Adidas Canada once upon a time. Anyway, that’s really neither here nor there so I’ll get going on this review. The front cover of this zine pretty much sums up what’s inside: Anal Play, Benumb, Converge, Restoring Foreskin, Beating A Cripple Revisited, Gas Jockey Blues, and Reviews. The highlight of this issue of A.D.I.D.A.S. has to be the how-to guide for anal play. It comes complete with a detailed diagram to help you grasp the various concepts. The low point of Brandon’s zine was probably the article “Beating A Cripple Revisited.” I mean I’m all for trying to create controversy as much as the next zinester but I don’t think this little nugget is the best way to accomplish it. I only hope that Brandon created this thing in the same spirit that Jonathan Swift created “A Modest Proposal.” If not I’d be concerned. (DP)
