Before getting into our day-by-day listings, we wanted to take a moment just to shout out to our picks for this years SummerWorks theatre/performance festival in Toronto, already underway and running until Sunday. Click through for more detailed information about dates and locations.

Tough Guy Mountain, Factory Theatre

In a new play by Iain Soder, Intern Lisa begins the first day of her unpaid internship at the extra-dimensional, hyper-capitalist corporation called Tough Guy Mountain. Slowly climbing the corporate ladder, Lisa learns not just about marketing, but also a sinister plot against the company. It’s a post-modern kafkaesque hyperreal semi-musical!

This Play Wins, The Theatre Centre

The audience takes the wheel at this “focus group” style happening, wherein Performance Experts execute scenes of Aristophanes’ “The Clouds” while audience members vote and interrogate.

Charisma Furs, Factory Theatre

One of our “10 to Watch in 2015”, the saucy and smart Katie Sly, performs an intense interrogation of her own past and a journey towards loving herself and others.

all you can hold, Pia Bouman School

The music of weirdo electronic set LAL combine with movement / dance by Ill NaNa and Victoria Mata plus wearable sculpture by Ange Loft to create a hallowed space. One night only on Wednesday, August 12!
