Ferguson is a 64-page, 8.5″ x 11″ printed magazine-style book containing 34 original black and white photographs as well as excerpts of official witness interviews in the shooting death of Michael Brown. Based on two photographic trips to Ferguson, MO after the Michael Brown shooting and then following the grand jury decision, the work goes beyond the violence to offer an intimate and emotional portrait of the community’s reaction – from conflict to prayer – and puts the meaning of what occurred in Ferguson in historical context. Ferguson was photographed by internationally-recognized photojournalist David Butow whose work has appeared in National GeographicThe New York Times and many other publications and exhibitions.

The publication will printed in California using recycled paper and inks.

“Ferguson” has been photographed, edited, written and laid out. The only production step that remains is the printing. Your contribution will help produce an artistic document that is both immediate and historic. And you’ll get a copy! What are you waiting for?
