Christmas Gifs: The above image was taken from this delightful site where artists and illustrators and ANYONE can submit their best holiday/winter-themed gif. They are funny and some are weird (like the turkey that keeps sliding down onto a guy’s head). Go look!

Biesinger gets Craft-y: DIY-art-loving folk in this neck of the woods are getting pumped for City of Craft, which runs this Saturday and Sunday. Among the exhibitors this year is Edmonton’s Raymond Biesinger, who you may know from his award-winning designs and illustrations from The New Yorker to Toyota (and he has also done work for us at Broken Pencil), or maybe you know him from his fierce shreddage in the garage-noise duo The Famines. Anyway, Raymond just put out the Black and White Illustrations of Raymond Biesinger Book. We just got it at BP and it’s pretty spectacular, and would make a nice prezzy for the noise music geek/design weirdo on your list. Check him out!

Get Real Paid: My friend and soon-to-be Broken Pencil comic book reviewer Sean loaned his friend $300 over a year ago. Since then he and the friend have exchanged a long, frustrating and comical series of texts where the friend promises to meet him, apologizes, tries again, fails again, and so on. He’s collected them in this Tumblr. The best is when the friend texts him a compliment out of nowhere. BEEN THERE, RIGHT GUYS?

Weird Yelps: I love when Yelp reviewers go rogue, and this site collects the best/worst/most inarticulate/earnest Yelp reviews and accompanies them with cute illustrations. My favorite is below – Pentagram Pizza!
