Strangelove Festival

Type: Queer festival searching for artists
Who: “Queer artists who provoke and highlight non-binary perspectives! We welcome filmmakers, visual artists, musicians, writers and performers exploring gender, sexuality, counterculture, alternative formats and queer identities.”
What: “For the 2018 edition we plan to dig into dirty/punky/trashy intersections which take shape as queer art forms.”

Inside Me, Vol. 3 — Letters from an Unheard Heart

Type: Collaborative literary zine
Pay: Artists share 50% of profits. The other 50% goes to Workman Arts.
Submissions: The theme of “Letters from an Unheard Heart” can be interpreted however as long as submissions use words to express a POV, experience or understanding of what happens on the inside (read: mental health). Submissions should be between 1 to 5,000 words. Some examples of formats: short fiction, poetry, screenplay, memoir, essay, non-fiction, stream of consciousness, journalling, free form, experimental, handwritten and so on.

The Queer Issue

Type: Queer-themed issue celebrating emerging and established queer writers and artists.
Pay: $50 for one page, $60 for two pages, $90 for three pages, $120 for four pages, $150 for five or more pages
Submissions: Poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction and art by women and genderqueer folks who identify as part of the LGBTTQIA+ spectrum. Submission does not have to be queer in focus.
