Art Zine Review: An A-Z of Holes

An A-Z of Holes

Zine, Joseph Harris, [email protected]

Do you remember those A-Z books your parents would read to you to help you read and learn your alphabet? That’s what this is, except there is a one-inch hole drilled in the middle of the book and each letter represents a type of hole.

While it might look like a children’s book at first glance, I wouldn’t shelf it next to Chicka Chicka Boom Boom if I were you, unless you want your children to learn about glory holes, arseholes, or the plot holes of 50 Shades of Grey.

I’m not sure if it’s an art piece, a poem, or an ABC book for inattentive parents, but I think it works best as a coffee table conversation piece: something for your party guests to flip through for optimal WTF moments. It also can work as an educational tool if you were ever wondering about the Vaudeville actor Jonathan Hole. (dustan j. hlady)
