Spring came eventually and with it a most wonderful surprise. A seaship factory would open in the town where Betty lived. She was most excited. She would wait and finally, when it opened for business, she would get a job working on the boats. For compensation, she would take no money. She would insist only that when her work there was done, she be given a seaship to call her own.

And then she would sail.

David Bell is currently working on a collection of short fiction tentatively titled “Stories for tiny monsters”.
